As Startlang is serviced all over the world, we continue to strive to comply with the privacy laws and regulations in the region where the service is provided.

To perform the main features of Startlang, the app requests a permission to access your local media and a permission to record audio. The recorded audio is not saved as a file to anywhere including your own device storage. The information of local media and recorded audio are not transmitted to anywhere outside of your local device. Startlang does not modify or delete the contents in your local media storage.

To the extent that Startlang collects data, it does so solely for the purpose of displaying advertisements. By using Startlang, you agree on the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree on this, please do not proceed to use Startlang or we may not be able to provide you complete functionality of our product.

AdMob, the advertiser of Startlang, served by Google is used to display the advertisements. Admob may collect information produced during your use of Startlang, extract your interests, and use them to show you ads that are more appropriate to your individual needs. Google uses the advertising ID of the device on which the ad is displayed to serve targeted ads (e.g. cosmetic products, health products etc.). In addition, Admob also collects IP addresses, app interactions (launching the app, clicking on ads, etc.), diagnostic data (crashes, battery usage, etc.), and possibly other account or device-specific IDs. Interests, demographics and the like may be used by Google to select better targeted ads.

For California residents

California Consumer Privacy Act (also known as CCPA) provides you with additional rights regarding your personal information collected by us for business and commercial purposes. Please note that this section applies only to people who live in California. Your rights include:

1) The right to know about the personal information collected about you by using Startlang and how it is used and shared

2) The right to delete your personal information collected by Startlang

3) The right to opt-out of receiving interest-based advertising; You may exercise your choice from settings of your device.

4) The right to receive equal service and not be discriminated for exercising any of your CCPA rights

For EU users

The General Data Protection Regulation (also known as GDPR) provides you with additional rights regarding your personal information collected by us for business and commercial purposes.

If you are in EU, your rights include:

1) The right to obtain a copy of any personal information about you which we process, in a commonly used and machine-readable format

2) The right to know about our processing of your data which includes the purposes of processing it, the categories of personal data processed, the recipients who receive your personal data and how long we store your personal data

3) The right to delete information where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it

Children's Privacy

Startlang provides its service to anyone with no age limit.

If you are the guardian of a child user under the age of 13, we remind you to properly perform guardianship duties to protect the safety of children's personal information. In addition, please guide and help the children under your supervision during the use of Startlang. If you are a child user under the age of 13 please read this policy carefully with the guide of your parents or guardians before using Startlang.

If it is needed, we may update our Privacy Policy in the future. Therefore we recommend you to consult this page regularly for any changes we made. Any changes on Privacy Policy will be posted on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted here.
